So i just read this amazing book. When i first saw it and read the little blip on the inside flap i didn't think i would like it as much as i did. but i was really surpised at how much i could apply it to my own life. Ready for what it's about? I'll try not to spoil too much of it for you!
Sadie, a seventeen year old high school girl who is completely convinced that her best friend, garrett delaney, is her soulmate. and that there is no one else for her. i know, we've all had that one guy who we swore was our romeo to our juliet(minus the whole, you know, dieing thing) and that we were meant to be. only problem in this story is, it's pretty much all in sadie's head! her love is one sided and she thinks that's all it's ever going to be unless she does something about it at a summer literary camp they are both going to, or so she thought. when sadie doesn't get accepted she is sure that her summer is just gonna suck so bad! well that's before the big party her garrett go to when she thinks he's about to coenfess his un-dieing love for her! and then.... he doesn't. and goes away to camp.
Then sadie get's a job at totally wired, the local coffee house/cafe' and realizes how much she wanted garrett to say it. that he loved her. then he calls one night and she is so sure he's going to say it, and he does say that he's in love..... WITH SOMEONE ELSE!!! that's right. and she's "the one!!!" realizing that she's holding on to something that is just never gonna happen, she decides to detox garrett out of her life for good! not realizing just how much her life revolves around some guy. so she starts this little detox(and i really like how before each chapter starts she has a rule that she has to fallow) so with the help of her co-workers she slowly but surely starts to get garrett out of her life and off of her mind, and it doesn't hurt that she has her cute co-worker to help her out either :P
just when she thinks she is totally over him and doesn't need him in her life to make her happy..... BAM!! he's suddenly back from camp! and his "one girl" has broken his heart?? will sadie be ok? will they end up together?? read it to find out!

just listen. by sara dessen!
Omg! i feel like it's been forever since ive posted. i guess it kind of has been a while since i didn't have my computer with me in texas! so ive had a lot of time to read and get stuff done and i decided to do a short review of just listen. i am still currently in love with sara dessen. her books are just amazing. im working on getting all of them for my persanol collection. i am working on making it bigger and better so that i can always have a good book on hand when i need one! anyways. so far ive read two sara dessen books and this one is my favorite. i feel like i can relate more to this story. the main character has a best friend and they have a falling out over a boy issue (don't wanna spoil it so just read it) and she feels all alone and to top it off her sister is batteling an eating dissorder. but in the midst of all of this she becomes friends with owen. a music fanatic who uses music as a way to seperate himself from the world and be himself. at first they aren't really friends but as they realize that they have more in commen than they thought things progress and they become more than friends and by getting her to listen to his radio show every sunday the main character (can't seem to remember her name!! grr!) begins to slowly find herself and figure out that she doesn't need to be the most poplular girl and the best model to be happy. and even though she doesn't always like the music owen gives her she always agrees to just listen. i really liked this book and really felt a connection to her for personal reasons and im glad i picked this one to read instead of getting a different one. i am going to finish reading all of her books as soon as i can. but for now i have another book to read and when im done with that i will post a review for it! also. i have been asked to do a review of hunger games but i am hesistant what with the movie coming out and all that and i don't want to ruin anything. i feel like i can't do a proper review without giving major details from the books. so i WILL NOT be doing one anytime soon. i will probably wait a while. not sure exactly when i will do it but i will get around to it eventually.

the host by stephenie meyer
I debated doing this or not. this book is such a long story and it's so complex. there isn't any one plot to it that i could find clearly. it's one of those books that you just have to read for yourselves to know if you will like it or not. i will say right now. i love this book. ive read it 3-4 times now and it never gets boring. i always find something that i missed or didn't understand the first time. the begining is always a little slow to me but i make it a point to not skip through stuff when i read. cause i usually miss things and wont know what someone is talking about. so anyways. for those of you who haven't read the book it's basically got two main characters. wanda and mel. only they are one person. basically aliens have taken over(not like in a stupid movie where they kill everyone) and they litterally are put into a human body and are in control of it blah blah blah (read the book cause its hard to explain) but anyways wanda is inside mel. usually the host bodies don't fight back but mel does and this lead wanda to find her family who is currently hiding out in caves in the desert. there she finds mel's brother jaime and her lover/friend/older boyfriend (hehe) jared and other members of her family and some other people. at first jared isn't too happy that wanda is there because they don't know that mel is still inside of her too. but jeb (her uncle) makes it clear that no one is to hurt wanda .at first no one is very happy about it especially kyle and his brother ian. so much so that kyle tries to kill her and in the process almost kills both of them but wanda saves theire lives. and ian gets over his hate for her and it leads to him actually having stronger feelings for her( trying not to give too much away) so now wanda is torn between the man she can't help but love because of mel's memories of him and the man who she loves but her body doesn't.
it's a very good story and one that you have to read to truely understand. i would go into more detail about it here but i don't want to give anything away. you really do need to read it for yourself. as always for those of you who comment below don't ruin anything for other's who haven't read it yet but feel free to give me your thoughts on the book!

along for the ride by sara dessen

now i have recently disscovered the world of sara dessen and let me say, i am in love! this is the first sara dessen book that i read and i loved it. i will admit that the first few chapters were kind of slow but once you get into it there is so much to each character and it's just an all around amazing book. i have recently found that i like fiction books that don't have sparkley vampires and huge wolf dogs in them very much. especially ones where the love/romance isn't the main theme. with this book there is romance between the main character (ill touch on that more in just a minute) but it's mostly about summer and finding yourself and learning to just go along for the ride. in this book auden (main character) has just graduated high school and is set for college and so sure of her future until she decides to go to her dad and step mothers house for the summer in a small beach town. she spends the summer working at heidi's (step mom) little clothing store and starts making friends there and learning more about being a teenager. then she meets eli and he shows her that it isn't too late to have the fun childhood that she missed out on and that people really can change no matter her mother thinks. oh ya! i should probably add that her mother is a writer/scholor/mean person (in the begining) and she makes a point that she thinks people can't change. but throughout the entire book the characters are changing and discovering who they really are and what they really want to do. so when auden meets eli she decides to take his advice and go on a 'quest' to have the childhood she always wanted.
now i want to talk about their relationship. when auden first starts hanging out with eli she doesn't have the intention of dating him. in fact at first she doesn't really like him and she thinks that he doesn't like her. and then they realize that they have something in common, they are both insomniacs. so they spend their nights reagaining her childhood and eventually it leads to more. if you want to know all the juicy details of auden, her new baby sister and her crazy family you HAVE to read this book! i am currently reading another sara dessen book called just listen and will have a review for that sometime next week since i haven't really gotten that far into it yet. all of her books are available at barnes and noble and on the nook and kindle! if you have read along for the ride feel free to share what you thought of it!

getting revenge on lauren wood

have you ever been betrayed by the last person you ever thought would betray you? then this book is the book for you. what really caught me was this books cover. it was interesting too see a blond barbie being taken down. so i read the back cover and was hooked. i was reading it in the car before i even got home. this book was interesting in many ways. i won't give details because i don't want to ruin it but i will give you the main jist of the book. when betrayed by her best friend helen(claire) is so embaressed that she moves to whole different state. then senior year she's back and ready to take down lauren and her status as queen bee. and she is willing to do anything to take her out. i found it interesting to watch her and her self war against lauren but at the same time being at war with herself for letting lauren control her for so many years. it's a good story about friendship and betrayal and finding yourself being torn apart by someone you thought was your best friend. i believe there is a lesson to be learned in this story and you'll just have to read it to find out what that is! everyone takes something different from each story they read and no two people will get the exact same thing from the exact same book. remember, if you comment don't post anything that will spoil the book for someone else but feel free to share what you thought of the book with me! and remember!

the disreputable history of frankie landou-banks
So it's been about two months since i read this book and i have to say it was surprisenly really good. it's not the type of book i usually go for. i usually go for more fantasy romance books but i saw this and read the back and it caught my attention really fast. i couldn't wait to get home and read it. i don't want to spoil too much of the book but the main plot is about a girl who goes off to a private school and starts dating this boy who has a secret club and as she starts to unravel who's in the club and what they are doing she decides to take things into her own hands and messing with the boys all the while they think it's one of their own doing everything. in the end it was a very intriguing novel and i would love to read it agian when i get a chance. i would deffinetly reccomend this to everyone. it's got a little bit of something for everyone. it has romance, mystery, comedy, and a little bit of secrecy. at first you may think its too much effort to read it and wont want to but remember, you can never judge a book by it's cover. especially ths one. it's intriguing and different but worth the read. so go to your local barnes and nobel or library and check it out! remember if you're going to post a comment don't post anything that will spoil the book for someone who wants to but hasn't read it yet. other than that feel free to share your thoughts with me and what you thought of this book! and remember!Live*Laugh*Love<3
